HRM Team Wins First Place in Goldilocks Debut Cake Category

A team of BS Hotel and Restaurant Management students bagged the First Place in the Mardi Gras Debut cake category in the nationwide Intercollegiate Goldilocks Cake Decorating Challenge 2013 and brought home a Php10,000 gift check and Php50,000 worth of baking showcase for the school.

 

The Sugar Fairies Team- composed of Cristel Jem Francisco, Sundae Lazo, Angelica Beltran, and  Jessa Mae Mago, with Mrs. Anna Mae Aurelio as coach competed against nine other teams in the live decorating contest. The theme was selected immediately before the contest with 1.5 hours to create two designs out of cupcakes.

 

The Louisians' cake was one of the 10 finalists chosen from among 53 schools who sumbitted 111 cakes designs in the preliminary round.

 

The SLCV HRM Department has a perfect record of qualifying for the finals for evey entry submitted for competition. Since 2006, Goldilocks bakeshop has been staging its annual Intercollegiate Cake Decorating Challenge to give college students a venue to showcase their creativity and talent.
